Accessibility Statement
Accessibility at PlaceBridge
Last updated: 27 May 2026
PlaceBridge is designed for care-sector professionals who need clear, reliable, and accessible workflows. We aim to make the service usable on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Our accessibility aim
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA where practical for the public-facing website and core application screens. GOV.UK guidance says public sector websites and apps should meet WCAG 2.2 AA and publish an accessibility statement.
What should work
- Pages are designed to be responsive on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Text should be readable and resizable in modern browsers.
- Interactive controls have visible focus states.
- Images used for meaning should include alternative text.
- The public pages include a skip link to reach main content.
- Buttons and form controls are sized for touch use on mobile.
Known limitations
PlaceBridge is still in early launch development. Some dashboard areas may need further manual testing with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, zoomed text, and assistive technology. We will continue improving forms, error messages, document workflows, and complex placement-room screens.
Feedback and support
If you find an accessibility problem or need information in another format, email referrals@placebridge.co.uk. Please include the page, device, browser, and the issue you experienced.
How we will improve
- Run regular keyboard and mobile checks before major releases.
- Review colour contrast and focus states when design changes are made.
- Improve form error messages and instructions as real users test the platform.
- Review the statement after major functionality changes.
