Terms of Use
Using PlaceBridge responsibly
Last updated: 27 May 2026
PlaceBridge is for professional placement coordination between approved councils, social workers, care providers, supported living services, and authorised partners.
1. Access
Only authorised users with a work or organisation email may create an account. Accounts may require email verification and admin approval before access is granted.
2. Professional use only
The service must only be used for legitimate care placement, referral, availability, transition planning, and provider communication purposes. It must not be used for casual enquiries, public job adverts, marketing spam, or non-care-sector activity.
3. User responsibilities
- Keep login details secure and do not share accounts.
- Only upload or enter information you are authorised to share.
- Use de-identified information where possible.
- Check provider suitability, registration, safeguarding, and contractual requirements before making placement decisions.
- Keep records accurate, proportionate, and up to date.
4. Provider listings and availability
Providers are responsible for ensuring availability, service descriptions, CQC or Ofsted ratings, capacity, response times, and contact details are accurate. A listing on PlaceBridge does not guarantee suitability, acceptance, or commissioning by a council.
5. Referrals and placement decisions
PlaceBridge supports coordination and information sharing. It does not replace professional judgement, safeguarding procedures, statutory duties, care assessments, commissioning checks, or contractual approval processes.
6. Sensitive information
Users must handle sensitive information carefully and share only what is necessary. Information about vulnerable people, disabilities, care needs, risks, or safeguarding concerns must be treated as confidential and shared only with authorised parties.
7. Payments and subscriptions
Where paid plans are enabled, fees are shown only to the relevant account type when the user chooses to pay. Subscription access may be paused or limited if payment fails or the account is not approved.
8. Account suspension or removal
PlaceBridge may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts that misuse the service, provide false information, breach confidentiality, create safeguarding risk, or breach these terms.
9. Availability of the service
We aim to keep PlaceBridge reliable, but the service may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, updates, or third-party provider issues.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated as the platform develops. Significant changes should be communicated through the website or by email where appropriate.
11. Contact
